# Har Ki Dun — Valley of Gods Har Ki Dun — 'Valley of Gods' — is one of the most beautiful and spiritually resonant valleys in the Indian Himalayan arc, in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park, Uttarkashi district, at approximately 3,566 metres. The valley has deep Mahabharata associations — Swargarohini peak (6,252 m) is where the Pandavas are believed to have ascended to heaven. The villages of Osla and Gangad preserve ancient Rawat community traditions and their wooden temples are some of the finest examples of traditional Himalayan architecture.
